World Wide Recall for Toyota Prius V Wagon

Toyota announced a recall for approximately 625,000 of its Prius Hybrids for stalling issues. According to Toyota the problem is with the software settings in the motor control units which can cause them to over heat ultimately putting the cars in "safe Mode" where the cars then shut down without any warning.

This recalls affects 109,000 Prius V wagons model years 2012-2014  in the United States. In other markets the V wagon is called Prius Alpha and Prius Plus.
