First Station Wagon

The first fully factory built station wagon was the 1923 Star Four Model C with a four cylinder Continental engine. At the time all other car companies were sending their chassis out to a custom builder who then added the wooden wagon body. The beginning of 1928 model year the Star Four C was replaced by Durant 4.
