GM recall for faulty transmission shift cable adjuster

General Motors is recalling some of its 2014 vehicles, models included in the recall are the Buick Regal, Verano, La Crosse and Enclave, also Chevrolet Traverse, Impala, Cruze, Malibu and GMC Acadia equipped with automatic transmissions. The reason for the recall is the transmission shift cable adjuster may disengage from the transmission lever which could cause the vehicle to rollaway when parked. Also the shifter may not be in the gear the gear shifter shows it to be in. If you own any of the above listed vehicles you may contact General Motors directly at 1-800-222-1020, for Buick owners call 1-800-222-1020 and GM owners 1-800-222-1020. General Motors will notify owners and the effected transmission cable adjuster will be replaced free of charge.
